This package accommodates the AIAA classââ¬â¢ submit option. In an e? ort to more tightly integrate text and image, the wrapfig package is employed. This package works by modifying paragraph shape to accommodate a ? gure (or a table or other items). Typically one inserts its wrapfigure or wraptable environment just before the paragraph in which it is to be placed. Also speci? ed is the width of the item to be inserted and the placement, for example, left or right side. Service Sector Growth Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2500 words
Service Sector Growth - Essay Example Other services include those that assist firms in conduct of operations within the regulatory regime, such as auditing and legal services. (Innovation : 2006). Thus these diverse services most of them knowledge based are supplementing traditional services as banking, tourism and leisure. This broad expanse now falling within the ambit of services has placed greater emphasis on the use of science and technology and innovation in this field. The internationalization of technology and its impact on national competitiveness also has a significant influence on the services sector. While traditionally services such as banking, retailing, business processing have not been considered amenable to research and development and innovation as compared to other emerging services such as software development and genetic engineering, this appears far from the truth. Thus innovation can also be employed for creation of growth in the services sector. (SETI : 2004). There is a growing trend which shows that a substantial amount of research and development is occurring in the services sector. While new products and processes were not unknown in the services sector but innovation in services more often related to changes in how, where and when a service is delivered. For instance, electronic banking is an innovative way to provide traditional banking services at home at any time. The growth of knowledge based work along with technological change and competition has also highlighted the need for innovation. Knowledge based work implies non routine, cognitive skills as abstract reasoning, problem solving, communication and collaboration which contribute to the services sector. However, services innovation need not be linked to changes in technology. Fast-food chains, like McDonalds, have applied innovative changes in delivery to obtain fast track growth in diverse geographic areas. To ensure that growth is constant and non linear, it is essential that the services sector is supported by suitable science, technology and innovations policies. Where policies are prevalent there is a need to review them to enable their rationalizing with the markets. (Future of Work: 2004). Innovation policy frameworks also need to focus on non technological facets of the services sector. This will come about once problems in traditional research and development activities have been recognized and importance is given to interactive people oriented actions. (SETI : 2004). The developed World is well aware of this need. Thus the OECD Committee for Scientific and Technological Policy at Ministerial Level has emphasized the importance of the policies for knowledge creation and innovation for sustainable economic growth and social well being. (Science : 2004). The need to involve the research enterprise and involve civil society and business in governance of public research has also bee n identified. The policy design is said to include an interface between innovation and science systems to harness benefits from investments in research. This will also facilitate effective industry science linkages. Policy Initiatives Fostering Growth Patents and copyrights are an essential part of the services industry particularly those related to information technology, knowledge creation

The Rationale of the Supreme Court's Decision in Citizen United (The Essay
The Rationale of the Supreme Court's Decision in Citizen United (The Majority Opinion by Justice Kennedy) - Essay Example This research will begin with the statement that in the course of 2008 election, Citizens United, a conservative non-profit organization, produced Hillary: The Movies, a documentary criticizing Senator Hillary Clinton by then. The movie was considered by Federal Election Commission (FEC) as an electioneering communication due to the political nature of the movie and because Citizen United aimed at purchasing airtime on a video-on-demand service on a cable television. Thus, this movie was subject to laws governing the production of political advertisements as well as limitations on who may fund them. Citizen United prosecuted in federal court to capsize decision lost and appealed to the Supreme Court. When pronouncing their verdict, the majority maintained that political speech is crucial to a democracy, which is not less than truth due to the fact that the speech originated from a corporation. The majority also asserted that disclosure requirements of BCRA were constitutional as appl ied to Hillary: The Movie, with a reason that a governmental interest justified disclosure by offering the electorate with information regarding election-connected spending resources. They also maintained the disclosure rules for political advertising sponsors and it maintained the outlaw on direct contributions to candidates from organizations and unions. Books Llc asserts that in a separate compatible opinion, Justice Steven stressed the manner in which the court handles constitutional issues and its efforts to shun constitutional issues when at all probable. He asserted that here, the court lacked narrower grounds upon which to rule, apart from handling issues of the First Amendment personified in the case. Steven also argued that corporations are not members of society and that there are convincing governmental interests to control ability of corporations to spend money in the course of local and national elections. Even though majority rationale was right when it said that poli tical speech is crucial to a democracy as it influence electorates, it was not right for them to rule against Citizen United. This is because as far as First Amendment has to be observed, all citizens have constitutional rights to express themselves freely and freedom of speech.
Marketing management project Case Study Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Marketing management project - Case Study Example The critical problem of the agency involves a very important decision of whether to expand or continue the way it is for the agency. Grabbing a large portfolio would lead to expansion and better avenues of growth but it comes with the risks and the costs. Maintaining the status quo would be a less risky solution but not getting any return in the long run. Firstly, In case if the Yadana account doesnââ¬â¢t work well it would have to reducing the manpower hired for the account will damage the agencyââ¬â¢s image. Secondly, determining the medium of advertising seems to be a problem, ignoring television would be ignoring the urban and metro market wherein radio and print would require a different skill set for a strong customer base to create. Thirdly, the customer although aware of the market is brand loyal and needs to be educated first. Fourthly, as the market seems to have shrunken it would actually be an opportunity in disguise. Very few players would always give a chance to grab a very large share of the market. 1. The investments would again run neck to neck with operating cost versus marketing costs. If the overall market is gloomy even if the most aggressive marketing techniques are implemented the results remain uncertain. 3. A customer survey and feedback would give a clear idea to the agency regarding the customer expectations. It would also give an opportunity to review its own strengths and weaknesses which is necessary. Advertising seems to be a very volatile business that fluctuates along with the markets and economic conditions. But if all the parameters of managing a business are to be applied then any business after doing an accurate assessment of its own strengths and weaknesses should go ahead and convert market threats into opportunities. Economic downturn is not a bane but certainly can be blessing in disguise. There are some changes which are forced by the environmental factors on the organization, but organizations who

Three Elements of Sustainable Design Research Paper
Three Elements of Sustainable Design - Research Paper Example In the similar manner, the utilization of recycling and reusing different things can also make the clear reduction in the green house emissions (Connectingthecoast.uwex.edu, n.pag.). On the other hand, the cutting down of forests is also producing endangering the environmental stability of the earth, as forests play an important role in maintaining the oxygen level in the atmosphere and maintaining the biodiversity of the planet. Besides that, forests also help is sustaining the water on the planet. In this paper I will examine the sustainable ideas employed by the ââ¬ËGreen Print Solutionsââ¬â¢ that is working as a paper printing company. The company ââ¬ËGreen Print Solutionsââ¬â¢ is a printing company that prints various kinds of banners and printed advertisements. The size of the prints may vary according to the order. Company is capable of proving all available sizes utilizing green and renewable resources thus impacting the environment as less as possible. The compan y is such designed to use the natural resources that can be grown or made available from the environmental sources. The word ââ¬Ëdesignââ¬â¢ is to interpret the process from where the process starts to the end product. For any industry to be considered as the green industry, it must pass the criteria to green design. In green design, the industry mast have to utilize as less energy as possible, it must have the capability to utilize the natural resources and it must have no or less environmental impacts. The utilization of energy can be limited by utilizing the natural solar light for the lightening purposes, other methods may include the utilization of alternative resources like solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, etc for the generation of energy; however, the architecture also matters a lot. The utilization of natural resources, which can be locally available, can reduce the transportation costs and emissions. However, the environmental impacts can be minimized by making a cle ar reduction in the waste, reusing or recycling the wastes and utilizing the materials that are biodegradable. The whole process maintains the health of the environment and thus the health of the humans. The company has no or fewer environmental impacts and all the strategies the company is utilizing are environmentally friendly. The major aim of the company is to run the printing business by utilizing the green resources like the wood required for the printing of the paper come from the sustainably managed forests. Wastes from the industry are managed in such a way that the wastes no longer remain dangerous for the environment. Wastes are recycled for increasing the efficiency of the company not only in the economic sense but also considering the environmental aspects. The end products and nearly all types of the wastes omitted by the industry are biodegradable. The utilization of such the strategies not only reduces the green house emissions and environmental impacts but also give rise to the profits the company generates by selling the prints to various dealers and customers. The three important elements of the sustainable design are the environment, economy and society. Any company that has a sustainable design must maintain the three elements of the sustainable design. Any design that has the environmental sustainability but lacks the environmental sustainability would be not feasible (Exinfm.com, n.pag.). In the similar way, sustainable design
